White Oak Campground in Quarryville, PA is looking for new Camp Escort team members to join our helpful & friendly camp team!
We are located at 3156 White Oak Road Quarryville, PA 17566. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, reliable, hard-working, and capable of teaching themselves on a computer (autodidactic learner).
This can be either a Workamping or a Local Position.
A Workamper is an employee who lives on the property in their RV. A Local hire would need to commute to the Campground with their own car, or another form of their own self-organized transportation.
For Workampers
RVs which are not in good exterior condition, or are overly old (~>12 years in age, but exceptions can be made) will not be accepted. If you're a Workamper & you submit your Application via Homebase, you will also need to send a separate email to jobs@whiteoakcampground.com including your First & Last Name & 3 exterior pictures of your RV + Tow Vehicle (if applicable, Motorhomes do not need a Tow Vehicle) attached to it.
Camp Escort Responsibilities
Greet customers and make them feel welcome
Work with the customer to identify problems and present solutions
Respond to complaints in a friendly and professional manner
Answer any questions the customer may have and provide suggestions as needed
Maintain a clean and tidy work area
Ensure campsite quality standards are met
Provide exceptional customer service
Communicate effectively with fellow employees
Help customers navigate to their campsite
Help customer setup their RV at their campsite
Help customers get their RV into their campsite
Sell customers ice and firewood after the Camp Store has closed for the day during weekend evening hours
Camp Escort Qualifications
Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled colleagues and clientele
Highly adaptable to various situations and customer needs
Ability to problem solve quickly and find effective solutions to issues that arise
Capable of learning new skills quickly
Ability to collaborate & work well with others in a fast-paced environment
Very strong computer skills (Computer knowledge is a necessity, if you cannot operate a mouse & keyboard efficiently, you will not be a good match for this Position)
Very strong fine motor skills (need to be able to type on a keyboard accurately & click a mouse without any impediment)
Basic mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under little supervision
Knowledge of RVs or operating a tractor-trailer
Manueuvering large vehcicles
Providing backing up guidance to operators of large vehicles
Camp Escort Special Notes
Camp Escorts are ambassadors to the customers and to the business. They help Guests back their large RVs into their campsites, providing blind-side directional guidance to the driver. They drive around in a company-sponsored Golf Cart and help the busy campground get settled on Check-In nights. They also will sell to the customer ice and firewood on the front porch of the park Camp Store during evening hours, when the official Camp Store itself has already closed for the day. This is primarily a weekend job.
Compensation:
Local Hire- $12 to $15 /an hour.
Workamper (Couple)- $11 to $14 /an hour.
Workamper (Single)- $10 to $13 /an hour.
THIS IS A FULL-TIME JOB.
Example of What A Workday Would Look Like
Talk and converse with incoming campers
Drive around the campground in a Golf Cart making sure everyone is being taken care of
Provide backing assistance to campers backing up into their campsite
Sell ice and firewood to campers during special evening hours when the Camp Store is closed for the day
Move a picnic table for campers
Move a fire ring for campers

Schedule your In-Person Shadow Day with our Hiring Manager. For Workampers, we will provide you with Free Nightly Accommodation for the Date(s) you need to first visit the Campground, to see if the employment will be a good fit for both parties. This Reservation for you is called your 'Shadow Reservation'. You will have 1-7 days of Free Accommodation on an RV Site at our Park while you participate in daily work around the Campground. Once your Check-Out Date has come, it will be decided whether you will be Hired or Denied.
